For you are my rock and my fortress, and for your name’s sake, you lead me and guide me. Psalm 31:3 ESV

The Psalmist, David, knew that God was his Rock and would protect him from his enemies. He trusted the Lord to lead and guide him, but I notice that it was for “your name’s sake.”

God doesn’t protect us or lead and guide us so that we might have an easy life or just so that we can be happy. Everything He does is so that He can be glorified.

His ways always have a purpose, whether He sends blessings or allows boulders to fall in our path. Ultimately, He will be glorified as long as we trust Him.[Tweet “Everything #God does is so that He can be glorified. #NamesofGod”]

As I follow the path He has set before me today, I pray that God will guide my steps, my words, and my deeds.

What are you dealing with today, and how will you allow God to guide you?
