Every time we prepare to embark on a new journey, as Moses was doing when he wrote these words to the people of Israel, this verse provides a good reminder of God’s faithfulness and power.
One translation says, “He does not play favorites.” I have a friend who likes to say, “God loves you, but I’m His favorite.” I like that, because it implies that each one of us is His favorite. He loves every individual with the same great love and limitless affection. How can I not help but give back that same love to Him?
I’m thankful that He is faithful to watch over me and go before me. He knows what He has in store for me, and it is good.
What about God’s faithfulness makes you thankful today?
