What is so “good” about Good Friday? It’s a day when weHe was punished so that we could be healed. remember how Jesus suffered and died. He was beaten nearly to death, He was rejected by His own people, He was deserted by His close followers, and He was disowned by Peter who had promised to die for Him. Where can we find the “good” in all that?

He was wounded for our rebellious acts. He was crushed for our sins. He was punished so that we could have peace, and we received healing from his wounds. Isaiah 53:5 GW ‪#‎NamesofGod‬ ‪#‎CharacterofGod‬‪#‎GoodFriday‬

We find it in the knowledge that Jesus made the sacrifice willingly. He gave His blood and His life so that we might live. He forgave and restored those who deserted and denied Him. He chose the road to the cross so that we could find the way to God. He became the sacrifice for our sins so that we could approach God as pure and blameless as a lamb. He endured the beatings and the jeers and the excruciating pain of crucifixion so that our sick souls could be healed.

Don’t let this Good Friday pass by without stopping to accept the gift of Jesus’ sacrifice. Thank God for allowing His Son to die a horrible death so that you might know the peace and healing that comes only from Him.
